There is a danger to anyone who emits the signals since someone can track you even when they can't see you (like when you're at home). And the counter-surveillance is that you can also track those who are tracking you. No Airtag will be safe on your person. You can find it.

A number of people - including family members - scoff at those wanting privacy PROTECTION, claiming, "I don't DO anything WRONG. Their naivety & ignorance is showing as MANY persons subjected to mass surveillance - having done NOTHING "wrong" have already experienced persecution, inconveniences, social ostracism, professional exclusion, debanking and even denying of certain retail transactions or basic freedoms. This can even extend to being made an outcast by acquaintances or even family members being penalized just from associating with you.
The second worst part of this is that the camera or AI is going to be the 'judge'. Imagine being denied public restroom privileges - better wear that diaper! THINGS ARE NOT ALWAYS THE WAY THEY APPEAR TO BE. We're leaving the realm of "A person is INNOCENT until PROVEN guilty to "So sad, too bad".
